Published Rates, and What Each One Actually Buys You
Bench time is priced by the hour because that is what we are selling. Parts are quoted separately at what they cost us plus a flat build charge, so a session never has a hidden reason to steer you toward a more expensive shaft.
Bench time
Baseline session
Ninety minutes. The complete first visit: full set gauging, delivery capture, variable testing, printed sheet, and a recheck window.
- Every iron and wedge measured for loft, lie, length, and swing weight
- Lie board and monitor capture with outlier strikes discarded
- Written recommendation, including when the answer is no purchase
Single club session
Sixty minutes on one category. Driver, fairway, hybrid, one wedge, or a putter, worked against your existing club as the control.

Full set programme
Baseline session plus a build review appointment once the set is assembled. Bench labour on the build is included in this figure; components are quoted on top.

Bend and lie check
No hitting required. Whole set on the machine, compared against your file, bent back where it has moved. Under an hour on a set we already hold numbers for.

How components are priced
We do not mark shafts and heads up on a sliding percentage, because that quietly rewards us for recommending expensive parts. Components are billed at our landed cost plus a flat build charge per club, which is already inside the session figures above for a set programme and is $32 per club for one-off installs.
The practical effect: a $60 shaft and a $400 shaft earn this bench exactly the same. If we suggest the expensive one, it is because it tested better on your sheet, and you will have seen the numbers that made the case.
Credits, deposits and the small print
- Bench fees are credited in full against a build placed within sixty days of the session.
- Component orders take a fifty percent deposit. Bench labour is billed at pickup.
- Rechecks inside your published window are $65 regardless of what has moved. Bending is included.
- Cancellations inside twenty-four hours are charged half the bench fee. We waive it once.
- Rates shown are current for this season and do not include California sales tax on components.
